MENA-Water cordially invites you to the webinar “Sustainable Solutions for Raw Water Intakes” on Tuesday 16th of May 2023.
Access to clean water has become a growing problem for many countries and populations around the world. For some, fresh water is not available in sufficient quantities, for others quality due to water contamination is a major challenge. To overcome water scarcity and to face the growing demand water is increasingly being extracted from surface waters, including rivers and oceans.
The removal of debris from the raw water by means of mechanical cleaning with rakes as well as coarse and fine screening machines in is increasingly coming into focus. The aim is to protect downstream process stages and systems such as pumps, desalination membranes and heat exchangers from deposits, blockages and abrasion caused by coarse and fine pollutants. The selection of the mechanical cleaning stages for the raw water intake decides on the load on the subsequent process steps and thus on the economic efficiency and safety of the entire system.
During the Webinar you will get an overview of important aspects of raw water intakes, including
- Key aspects for the development and implementation of projects
- Selection of screens
- Presentation of recent use cases that the HUBER group has implemented.
