Potable Water Package Plant for River Water
The village of Wenji is located in the Ethiopian region of Oromia near its capital Adama. Wenji is an agricultural center with irrigation farming as well as the sugar and paper industry. The families of the employees live in the surrounding villages. So far there was no local water treatment and drinking water was scarce. With the construction of a MENA-Water drinking water package system, the population of a village in 2015 was supplied with purified drinking water. Drinking Water in Africa

In Sudan, there are large irrigation areas with many villages, whose inhabitants got no access to clean drinking water. The water had be taken from untreated long irrigation channels and storage ponds and many diseases especially of children were the result.
Since 2008 MENA Water installed five container plants in different villages. Two more followed in 2011. The technology has proven itself in the difficult circumstances of very remote locations and now 5 additional container plants will be built. Continue Reading →
